BRAIV Lab Receives NIH Research Grant

BRAIV Lab Receives NIH Research Grant

The BRAIV Lab is honored to announce receipt of a new NIH research grant supporting our work on vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia (VCID). This funding will enable expanded studies on how cerebrovascular dysfunction accelerates brain aging.

The grant will support multi-year investigations combining in vivo imaging, histopathology, and molecular analyses across aging models. Key goals include identifying vascular biomarkers that predict cognitive decline and testing interventions that protect brain blood vessels.

This award reflects the growing recognition of vascular biology as a critical factor in neurodegeneration and validates our lab's integrated approach to studying brain aging.
